Effect timing

A successful change is saved right away. When it starts to act depends on which engine enforces it. Every change response has a delivery object that tells you which case applies. It is null when changed is false, because nothing was saved or sent.

Which orders the signal gates cover

The kill switch, closing only, the trading window, the news lockout and account groups apply to signals that come through webhooks: TradingView alerts, other webhook senders, the Webhook Trader and chart alerts. They do not block orders you place through the trading API, the MCP tools, or by hand in your platform. To block every signal to one account, set blockSignals on that account's monitor.

Time-based monitor rules

Auto-flatten and flatten at the end of a trading window run on CrossTrade's servers on weekdays, for monitors that are active. The news lockout on a monitor also needs the monitor to be active. A monitor's signal-blocking trading windows apply even while the monitor is paused.

A saved change is not proof it is running

delivery tells you where the change went, not that the engine has applied it. For example, a NinjaTrader change saved while the add-on is offline reaches it only when it reconnects. Read the resource or watch your platform if you need confirmation.
