NinjaTrader 8

CrossTrade reaches NinjaTrader through the CrossTrade NT8 Add-On, which runs inside your NinjaTrader installation. That gives you everything NinjaTrader itself can do: ATM strategies, NinjaScript, chart-based manual trading and the local trade copier. It also means NinjaTrader has to be open and connected for orders to fill.

If you trade Tradovate instead, Tradovate is the other half of this site. Both connections live side by side on one CrossTrade account, and the Journal merges them into a single record.

Keeping NinjaTrader running

Because orders route through your own machine, NinjaTrader has to stay open. The CrossTrade VPS exists for exactly this, and the Connection Health tools handle the cases where it drops anyway.
