Tradovate behavior

Multi-leader and multi-follower networks work on Tradovate too, with no limit on followers per leader. Three things differ: a leader and follower pair may be linked by one copier only, in any mode; a Tradovate copier pairs Tradovate accounts only, so the cross-broker note below does not apply; and same-environment copying (Demo to Demo, or Live to Live under one login) is the validated configuration, while copying across environments or linked identities is still being validated. The copier has no fixed leader and follower roles. One account can follow another while leading a third at the same time, so the relationships form a network rather than a tree. A chain passes trades along from account to account, a hub sends one leader out to many followers, and separate pairs run alongside both without touching them. The role belongs to the relationship, not to the account, so the same account appears as a follower in one pair and a leader in another.

Accounts have no fixed role. Any account can lead one copier and follow another at the same time, so copy relationships form a network rather than a single leader-to-followers tree. Each relationship keeps its own filters, sizing rules, and copy mode.

Network shapes​

Chain copying: A → B → C → D. Each account follows the one before it and leads the one after.Hub and spoke: one leader copies to many followers.Cross-network: one follower copies different instruments from different leaders.

For example, one follower can take ES from one leader and NQ from another while a second follower takes YM from a third:

  • Leader A (ES trades) → Follower Account 1
  • Leader B (NQ trades) → Follower Account 1
  • Leader C (YM trades) → Follower Account 2

Keep each instrument unique to one leader per follower, so two leaders never drive the same follower position.
