We used to, and we stopped. After hosting hundreds of traders the pattern was always the same: NinjaTrader does not run well in a virtual machine below a certain amount of real hardware. The small servers looked fine on a spec sheet and then struggled the moment someone opened charts, added indicators, or started a second strategy. That is not something support can tune away, it is the size of the server. We would rather lose the sale than put you on a box that makes NinjaTrader feel broken, so the smallest plan we sell is 6 vCPU with 16 GB of memory.

Both run the same Windows Server build in the same Chicago facility. EPYC plans use DDR4 memory on 1 Gbps+ networking and are the value option. RYZEN plans use DDR5 memory on 3 Gbps+ networking, which gives you more headroom under load. The number in the plan name is the vCPU count.

No. CrossTrade VPS plans are virtual servers running on shared physical hardware. You get your own Windows install, your own unique IP address, and the vCPU, RAM, and NVMe storage listed on your plan — but the underlying machine is shared with other virtual servers. That is what a VPS is. If you need an entire physical machine to yourself, a bare-metal dedicated server is a different product and these plans are not it. Because the hardware is shared, a server that runs at sustained high CPU or disk usage for extended periods may be throttled so it does not degrade performance for everyone else on the same host. Normal NinjaTrader and CrossTrade workloads are nowhere near that line.

Typically 10 to 20 minutes. You'll receive an email with your RDP login details once the server is ready. Worst case is under an hour.

Yes, upgrades are available at any time. Downgrades are not possible once resources have been allocated and disk size expanded.

Yes. Your monthly rate will not increase as long as you maintain the subscription.

Yes. You have full administrative access. Install anything you need as long as it complies with the terms of service. The one exception is virtualization software, because nested virtualization is not supported on any plan.

No. Nested virtualization is not supported on any CrossTrade VPS plan, in any form. That covers Hyper-V, VMware, VirtualBox, WSL2, Docker Desktop, Windows Sandbox, Android emulators, and anything else that needs a hypervisor running inside the server. It cannot be turned on by request, and no plan, tier, or add-on unlocks it. This limit is published before purchase, so a VPS bought to run virtual machines is not grounds for a refund.
