Trade Copier Comparison

CrossTrade vs Tradecopia: Coverage or Depth

Tradecopia connects to more platforms than we do. CrossTrade goes deeper on the two it supports and puts server-side Tradovate copying in the base plan rather than a hosting tier. Those are the real tradeoffs; everything else is detail.

Why CrossTrade wins

Your accounts are on NinjaTrader 8 or Tradovate, you want Tradovate copying that does not depend on your machine or a higher tier, and you need TradingView webhooks, webhook-attached trailing stops, or ATM automation working today rather than on a roadmap.

Choose Tradecopia if

You need Rithmic directly, ProjectX or TopstepX, Sierra Chart, Quantower or ATAS, or you want a native macOS desktop app. That coverage is real and we do not match it.

Side by Side

CrossTrade and Tradecopia at a glance

CrossTrade value Server-side Tradovate copying without moving up a hosting tier

Tradecopia's published tiers on September 17, 2026 were $49.99 for the desktop app, $79.99 for a shared hosted browser environment, and $149.99 for a dedicated one. Their FAQ notes the desktop app must stay running for copying and risk enforcement. CrossTrade runs Tradovate copying server-side on plans that include the copier.

What has to stay running

Tradecopia's two deployment models

Their Pro tier is a desktop application for Windows and macOS. Their FAQ is clear that the app must remain running for copying and risk enforcement, and recommends a VPS if you cannot keep a machine on. Pro+ Lite and Pro+ move that work to a hosted browser-based environment near Chicago, which removes the requirement and raises the price.

CrossTrade's split

It depends on the broker, and we would rather be precise than flattering. Tradovate is API-native, so CrossTrade can receive an alert and route an eligible order through a linked Tradovate account with no local software and no VPS you maintain. NinjaTrader 8 is not cloud-native and no vendor can make it so: NT8 workflows need NinjaTrader running and connected, with the CrossTrade add-on inside it.

So if every account you copy lives on Tradovate, CrossTrade removes the always-on machine from the picture at the base price. If your accounts are on NinjaTrader, both products need something running somewhere, and the honest comparison is which one you would rather operate.

Prop Accounts

Where both vendors agree

Tradecopia states plainly that it does not enforce or validate prop-firm-specific rules, and that compliance remains the trader's responsibility. CrossTrade says the same thing. No copier can promise a firm permits your workflow, and any vendor implying otherwise is selling you a risk they cannot carry.

What each product does offer is tooling. Tradecopia publishes a consistency calculator with per-firm presets, which CrossTrade does not have. CrossTrade's Account Manager applies drawdown, profit, trading-window and economic-event rules inside the same service that receives the signal and runs the copier. Those solve different halves of the problem, and if the consistency rule is what keeps failing your evaluations, weigh that accordingly.

Run both against one mapping

The comparison that matters is your own account map, rebuilt in simulation, tested through a rejected order and a reconnect. Seven days is enough.
