Account & Data Deletion

How to request deletion of your CrossTrade account and the data associated with it, what gets deleted, what we are required to keep, and how long we keep it.

Effective Date: August 8, 2026  |  Last Updated: August 8, 2026

This page applies to the CrossTrade platform and the CrossTrade mobile app for Android and iOS, both operated by CrossTrade LLC. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes in full what data we collect and why. CrossTrade accounts are created on our website; the mobile app is a companion client and does not create accounts. Deleting your CrossTrade account deletes it everywhere — web dashboard, mobile app, NinjaTrader add-on, and API.

How to Request Deletion

You can request deletion of your CrossTrade account and its associated data at any time, free of charge, by either of the following methods:

By email

  1. Send an email to [email protected] from the email address registered to your CrossTrade account.
  2. Use the subject line “Account Deletion Request”.
  3. State that you are requesting deletion of your CrossTrade account and all associated data.

Using our contact form

  1. Go to the Contact Us page.
  2. Enter the email address registered to your CrossTrade account.
  3. In your message, state that you are requesting deletion of your CrossTrade account and all associated data.

If we cannot confirm that the request came from the registered account holder, we will ask you to verify ownership of the account before we proceed. This protects you against someone else deleting your account and trading configuration.

We will send you a confirmation by email once the deletion is complete.

What Is Deleted

When we process a deletion request, we permanently remove the following from our production systems:

  • Your account record — your email address, password credential, and any profile details held against your account.
  • Authentication data — all active sessions, API keys, webhook keys and endpoint URLs, and any OAuth authorizations you granted to third-party clients or AI agents.
  • Platform configuration — account monitors and their risk settings, trade copiers, alert and notification preferences, account nicknames, hidden-account and account-ordering preferences, trading windows, and strategy settings.
  • Trading history we hold on your behalf — trade journal entries, notes, imported trade history, performance statistics, and signal and alert history.
  • Mobile app data — any push notification registration tokens for your devices, which are unregistered so your devices stop receiving notifications.
  • Support correspondence, except where we are required to keep a record of a dispute.

Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore a deleted account, its configuration, or its trade history.

What Is Retained, and For How Long

Some records must be kept after your account is deleted, either because the law requires it or because they are needed to resolve a financial dispute. These records are kept only for the purposes described below and are not used to re-create your account or to contact you for marketing.

  • Billing and payment records — retained for 7 years to comply with tax and accounting requirements. These are financial records of transactions; they cannot be used to restore access to the platform.
  • Affiliate tax information — if you participated in our affiliate or referral program and we issued you a 1099-NEC or 1042-S, the associated tax information is retained for 7 years after the last tax year in which a form was issued.
  • Operational logs — trading activity logs and API usage logs are retained for up to 90 days for operational and security purposes, after which they are automatically purged on their normal rotation.
  • Records required by law — anything we are legally obliged to preserve, or that is subject to an active legal claim, dispute, chargeback, or fraud investigation, is retained until that obligation ends.

Encrypted backups may briefly contain deleted data until they age out on their normal rotation schedule. Backups are not used to restore individual accounts.

The CrossTrade Mobile App

The CrossTrade mobile app is a companion client for an existing CrossTrade account. It does not create accounts and does not hold a separate account of its own, so there is no separate app account to delete.

  • Signing out or uninstalling the app removes the authentication token and any cached preferences stored on your device. It does not delete your CrossTrade account or anything held on our servers.
  • To stop push notifications only, turn off notifications in the app or in your device settings. This does not delete your account.
  • To delete your account and its data, follow the request process above. Deleting your account unregisters your device push tokens and revokes access from every client, including the mobile app.
  • The app does not integrate analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs, so there is no third-party profile of your app usage to delete.

Timeline

We process deletion requests within 30 days of verifying the request, except where retention is required by law as described above. Most requests are completed well within that window. If we need more time or cannot fulfil part of a request, we will tell you why.

Before You Request Deletion

Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. Your configuration, trade journal, and performance history cannot be recovered afterwards.

A few things worth knowing first:

  • Deletion is not the same as cancelling. If you only want to stop being billed, cancel your subscription instead — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Cancelling leaves your account and history intact.
  • Deletion does not automatically issue a refund. Refunds are governed separately by the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
  • Automation stops immediately. Deleting your account disables webhooks, alerts, monitors, and copiers. Any strategy or automation depending on CrossTrade will stop working, and open positions at your broker will no longer be managed by CrossTrade. Flatten or hand off anything you rely on before you request deletion.
  • Export anything you want to keep first, such as trade journal or performance data.
