Buyer's Guide

The Best Tradovate Trade Copier for Prop Accounts

Tradovate changed what a copier has to be. Because it is API-native, a copier no longer needs a desktop platform in the execution path, which means the old question of "which VPS should I rent" has a third answer: none.

This guide compares the services that copy Tradovate accounts, including two that beat CrossTrade on coverage. It is written by CrossTrade, so read the disclosure at the bottom and verify everything before you connect a funded account.

Review standard Competitor pricing and capabilities were checked against public vendor pages on September 17, 2026. Vendors change products frequently. Nothing here is a recommendation to trade, and no copier can guarantee a prop firm permits your workflow.
Buying Criteria

Five questions that actually separate these products

Latency dominates copier marketing and decides almost nothing once you are live. A copy arriving 40 milliseconds later does not fail an evaluation. A copy that should never have been sent does. Ask instead:

  • Does anything have to stay running? A desktop app that must stay awake is a different operational commitment from a service that runs without you, and vendors price these differently.
  • What happens when the leader's order is rejected? If copies dispatch on submission rather than on broker acknowledgment, a refused leader order can still produce live follower positions that cannot be recalled.
  • What happens when a strategy retries? A rejected order retried in a loop can fan out to every follower repeatedly unless something stops it.
  • Does the log tell the truth? A copy reported as canceled when it actually filled is worse than no log.
  • Which platforms do you genuinely need? Coverage you will never use is not worth paying for. Coverage you need and do not have is a dealbreaker.
The Options

Tradovate copiers compared

Tradecopia

$49.99 desktop ยท $79.99 / $149.99 hosted per month

Best for traders who need wide platform coverage in one subscription and want journaling bundled at no extra cost.

Strengths

  • Rithmic direct, ProjectX and TopstepX, Sierra Chart, Quantower, ATAS
  • Native desktop app for Windows and macOS including Apple Silicon
  • Report Journals bundled on every tier with no upcharge
  • Prop Firm Consistency Calculator with per-firm presets
  • Unlimited follower accounts on all tiers

Limits

  • The $49.99 desktop tier requires the app to keep running
  • Machine-off operation costs $79.99 or $149.99
  • TradingView webhook routing listed as coming soon
  • Trailing stops documented as manual, not automated
  • An account cannot join multiple copy groups at once
Verdict: the strongest option on coverage. If your accounts span Rithmic, ProjectX and a charting platform we do not support, this is likely your answer and we would not try to talk you out of it. See the full comparison.

TradeSyncer

$49 ยท $99 ยท $149 per month

Best for traders who want the broadest platform list with nothing installed and mobile apps included.

Strengths

  • Cloud-only with no install and no VPS on any tier
  • Very broad platform and feed coverage including ProjectX and TopstepX
  • Journal bundled at every tier with MAE/MFE and R-multiples
  • iOS and Android apps
  • Named risk rules including daily loss limit and account lockout

Limits

  • Tiers are gated by connection and account counts, not features
  • An all-Tradovate trader can be pushed up a tier on caps alone
  • Prop firm tracking is an expense and payout ledger, not rule enforcement
  • No consistency-rule tracking or economic-event lockout published
  • TradingView is routed via Tradovate rather than natively
Verdict: the widest net, and genuinely convenient if your accounts are scattered. Check how many connections your setup needs before comparing prices, because that is what decides your tier. See the full comparison.

Replikanto and other NinjaTrader-native copiers

Typically one-time or annual licenses

Best for traders who are staying on NinjaTrader and do not need Tradovate-native copying at all.

Strengths

  • Mature, widely used inside the NinjaTrader ecosystem
  • One-time pricing models still exist in this group
  • Local execution with no cloud dependency

Limits

  • Built around NinjaTrader, so Tradovate is not the native path
  • NinjaTrader must be running and connected
  • Generally no webhook, REST or AI interfaces
Verdict: included for completeness. If you searched for a Tradovate copier, this category is probably not what you want, but it is worth knowing it exists before you pay a subscription for something a local tool already does. Read more.
Prop Firm Rules

What no copier can do for you

Every vendor on this page, including us, states that compliance with a prop firm's rules is the trader's responsibility. That is not legal throat-clearing. Firms differ on whether copying is permitted at all, on how many accounts may trade in concert, and on what counts as a consistency violation, and those rules change without notice.

Tooling can help you stay inside a rule you already understand. It cannot tell you the rule, and a vendor claiming to guarantee compliance is selling you a risk they cannot carry. Read your firm's current agreement before you map a single follower.

Test the failure path before you trust it

Whichever you choose, rebuild one mapping in simulation and deliberately reject an order on the leader. What the copier does next is the entire product.
